Wellness Etiquette BIO Hotel & Wellness

Wellness is a place for relaxation, and we kindly ask that you turn off your mobile phones during your relaxation time. Please respect the privacy and peace of other guests. Thank you.

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MAXIMUM EFFECT AND EXPERIENCE OF SAUNA USE:

Sauna use has beneficial effects on both the mind and physical health. The high temperatures relax muscles, improve blood circulation, and benefit the circulatory system. Sauna use helps alleviate fatigue and induces a feeling of relaxation. The intense sweating helps flush out toxins from the body, promoting recovery.

As your comfort and safety are our highest priority, we ask that you follow the following guidelines:

1. BODY CLEANSING - Preparing for the Sauna

Do not enter the sauna hungry or immediately after a large meal.
Drink pure water before entering the sauna.
Shower and dry off thoroughly before sauna use, as dry skin sweats more effectively.
No swimwear or footwear is allowed in the sauna (please wear swimwear in the pool area). Thank you.
Please use the towel provided by the wellness staff when entering the wellness area and wrap yourself in it.

Did you know? Swimwear is made from 100% synthetic materials, which means that at temperatures above 50°C, harmful substances are released into the surrounding air and your skin. Our skin is our largest organ, through which these substances can enter the bloodstream, which is why we ask you to enter the sauna without swimwear or shoes.

Each person in the sauna should sit on a towel or cloth to prevent leaving wet spots.

2. IN THE SAUNA

Upon entering the sauna, you will find an hourglass that can be adjusted. Breathe through your nose and slowly. Avoid unnecessary talking or movement.
The ideal time spent in the sauna is subjective—stay as long as it is comfortable. A general recommendation is around 15 minutes.

The last two minutes should be spent sitting so that your blood circulation can adjust to the upright position and to prevent a sudden rush of blood to your legs, which could lead to injury.

3. AFTER THE SAUNA

After the sauna, cool down with ice-cold water. Rest for a moment before entering the sauna again.
It is important to hydrate during the sauna process. Suitable drinks include pure water, mineral water, fresh fruit or vegetable juice, or tea. Avoid alcoholic beverages.

SAUNA WITH CHILDREN

Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+ years old).

Prepare children for the sauna experience: a closed space, heat, and possibly nudity.

Swimwear is not allowed in the sauna.

Do not leave children unsupervised in the sauna.

Children should be showered with lukewarm water before entering the sauna, starting from the feet upward.

Children should only use saunas with a temperature of up to 65°C; we recommend bio-herbal, steam, or infrared saunas.

Children should sit on a towel on the lowest bench, where the temperature is the lowest.

During sauna use, do not eat, drink, or read.

Loud behavior can disturb other guests.

Sauna sessions should be shorter for children, approximately 3-8 minutes depending on the child's age.

After sauna use, children should cool down with a shower.

After cooling down, they should rest in the relaxation area and drink plenty of water.

The number of sauna cycles depends on the child’s age. Children under 3 should only complete one cycle, while children older than 6 can complete up to three cycles.
