The Bukovec Reservoir is located just 3 km from our hotel. It is an artificially created reservoir that serves as a drinking water supply for the city of Košice and its surroundings. The Ida stream, which also flows by the hotel, leads to the reservoir. The reservoir is an important habitat for waterfowl, amphibians, and mammals. The road around the dam (on the right side of the dam) is accessible to pedestrians and cyclists. Interested visitors can also climb to the top of the dam, which is 56 meters high and holds more than 20 million cubic meters of water, which is supplied to the taps of the people of Košice and the surrounding area.
